Who is lisa coleman carey?Lisa Coleman Carey was born and raised in Jessieville, Arkansas, about 30 minutes north of Hot Springs. Her family owns Ron Coleman Mining, and she grew up during the 80s revitalization of the downtown Hot Springs area. She remembers visiting what was then the home of renowned artist Benini, and her passion for the area took hold.
She obtained her bachelor's degree in Speech Communication from Trinity University in San Antonio and then worked as the Employee Communications Coordinator for Murphy Oil Corporation, a Fortune 500 Company, in El Dorado, Arkansas. After meeting her soul mate Michael and having their first child Chase, they moved back (for her, anyway!) to Jessieville. Shortly after the birth of their second son Ben, she joined National Park Community College and served there as its Director of Development. |
Why all things Arkansas?During her 13 years at NPCC, Lisa's love for Hot Springs and for Arkansas only grew. When Rex Nelson published an article about the need for new life in Hot Springs (Arkansas Democrat-Gazette in the Spring of 2013), she knew she should be part of the area's renewal and revitalization.
In her analysis of the wonderful downtown area, she found a need for a retail establishment that was uniquely created to meet the buying tendencies of tourists. All Things Arkansas was born. Featuring products from Arkansas, made in Arkansas, or relating to Arkansas, tourists -- and local consumers who love their state as much as Lisa does -- can bring home mementos from their vacation. Products will be available at every price point; you can buy something at almost no cost or you can create a once-in-a-lifetime memory. For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. -- Romans 11:36 NKJV |
